Welcome to the First Annual Battle of Yonkers Flag Football Tournament!

We’re thrilled to host teams from all over the Northeast at the beautiful Tibbets Brook Park for a day of intense competition and community spirit. Athletes in the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U, and Girls High School divisions will battle for the championship trophy and custom championship rings in each category. MVPs will be recognized in every division, and coaches will also receive special awards for their leadership and dedication.

Battle of Yonkers Flag Football Tournament:

Tournament Details:

Open to all teams and organizations
Three pool play games followed by a single-elimination playoff
Championship Prizes: Division winners receive championship rings and a trophy
Individual Awards: MVP awards for each division and coach recognition

Entry Fees:

💰 Team Registration: $350 per team
🔒 Deposit: $100 required to secure a spot
⚠️ Late Fee: $50 if paid after March 31, 2025

📅 Registration Period:

Opens: March 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST
Closes: April 13, 2025, at 11:55 PM EST
Full payment required by April 13, 2025, at 11:55 PM EST

🛑 Westchester-based teams: Contact us for a discount code (must be based in Westchester County).

Divisions:

Coed Divisions: 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U *Zorts National Power Index Divisions
Girls High School Division: 14U-18U - All Girls High School teams welcomed

Eligibility:

Age Cutoff: January 1, 2024
Roster Limit: 12 players & 2 coaches per team
Player Requirements: All players must have a valid Zorts Player Card
Waivers: Coaches and players must sign all waivers and be marked eligible to participate
Roster Submission Deadline: April 6, 2025, at 11:55 PM EST

Rules & Equipment:

📖 Game Format: 5v5 per FFL Rulebook – View Official Rules
🏈 Game Ball: Provided by Alpha Elite Sports (age group appropriate)
🎽 Flags: Custom flags permitted, but only traditional smooth poppers may be used

Tibbets Park Rules & Regulations:

🚗 Arrive early – Plenty of parking is available; park only in designated areas. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed.
💺 Bring a chair – No bleachers are available, so pull up and enjoy the action from the sidelines.
🚫 Prohibited Items & Activities:

Alcohol, drug use, smoking
Animals on fields (service animals permitted)
Bicycles, scooters, motorized vehicles
Glass containers
Metal cleats

All games will be played on GRASS FIELDS—please note that metal cleats are NOT allowed.

This tournament is for the kids, and we expect all adults to set a positive example. State police will be in attendance to ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
