Nike Football Camps are more than excited to announce a new camp location at Portola High School for the summer of 2024. Camp Director, Corey Liuget is a former Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman and the current owner of Air Attack Flag Football and House of Pancakes Academy. Corey has over a decade of professional football experience and since retiring, he has focused his efforts on sharing his knowledge and love for the game with aspiring athletes. Corey and his staff are looking forward to sharing their passion with campers of all levels this summer.

This Nike camp will allow campers to participate in either our flag football session or our offensive/defensive lineman skills training. Our experienced staff members will help each athlete learn the fundamentals while assisting them in developing their skills using proper techniques. Offensive and defensive position drills follow proper stretching and warm-ups, along with fun football competitions. A great opportunity for any young athlete looking to improve their game, have fun, make new friends, and train with elite-level coaches.

    DIRECTORCOREY LIUGET

    Corey Liuget played college football at the University of Illinois and earned 2nd Team All-Big Ten. In 2011, Corey was a 1st round draft pick (18th overall) for the San Diego Chargers. During his time with the Chargers, he was the 2012 Defensive Player of the Year and a 2018 Walter Peyton Man of the Year Nominee. Following his eight-year career with the San Diego and Los Angeles Chargers, he played for the Oakland Raiders, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans before retiring in 2022 as a Los Angeles Charger. 

  • Peter Abe

    HEAD COACHPETER ABE

    Growing up and currently residing in Irvine, California, Coach Peter Abe graduated from Irvine High School in 2001 before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Fullerton in 2005. Currently holding a Physical Education Teaching Credential, Peter also completed his Master of Arts degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration in 2010 at Concordia University. Peter has spent his career teaching Physical Education, Video Productions, and Study Skills while Coaching Football and Track & Field at every level of High School and the Youth Level in either Head and/or Assistant Coach position(s). 

 

CAMP DETAILS

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.

2024 FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP BY AIR ATTACK

  • Dates: July 19-21, 2024
  • Age Group: 5-14
  • Camp Type: Day Camp (9am-1pm)
  • Schedule: Friday-Sunday
  • Skills: QB, RB, WR, TE, & Defensive Backs
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch will not be provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

*Please note: Campers from both sessions will participate in warm-ups and morning drills together. They will split up once this is complete and the Flag Football Campers will play in traditional flag football competitions and games.

2024 O-LINE/D-LINE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CAMP BY HOUSE OF PANCAKES

  • Dates: July 19-21, 2024
  • Age Group: 5-14
  • Camp Type: Day Camp (9am-1pm)
  • Schedule: Friday-Sunday
  • Skills: Offensive/Defensive Linemen and Tight Ends
  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.
  • Meals: Lunch will not be provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

*Please note: Campers from both sessions will participate in warm-ups and morning drills together. They will split up once this is complete and the O-Line/D-Line Campers will participate in drills focusing on their positions, along with different 1v1, 2v2, and 5v5 competitions.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Daily Football Instruction
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Outdoor Fields

There is no registration fee for players on Zorts, just the eligibility cards...Cost of Camps on US Sports Camps are $325 for either camp. Discounts are available by reaching out to the event administrators directly.
