Are you ready?

The NFL FLAG Bowl is a one-of-a-kind tournament hosted by NFL FLAG, National Flag Football, and the NFL during the weekend of January 29-31, 2021. We wanted to share with you some important factors that you MUST be aware of before registering.

1. CAP LIMITS - Due to COVID-19 restrictions we will be limiting this year's event to 160 teams. We understand that many teams unfortunately will not be able to compete. Therefore, in order to give everybody a fair shot, we want to let you know, that registration will open precisely at 4PM CST. Once a division is full, we will close that division of play. However, a time-stamped waiting list will be created. We are expecting certain divisions to hit capacity within moments of registration opening.

2. SPECTATOR LIMITS - Only two spectators per player will be allowed at the complex at a time.

3. COVID COMPLIANCE - Due to COVID-19, there will be nonnegotiable strict compliance rules being enforced for this event. We are working with the NFL's health officials to finalize protocol. Here is a list of COVID-19 considerations that will be enforced at this year’s NFL FLAG Bowl:

RCX is working closely with the NFL and health officials in order to provide comprehensive COVID-19 Guidelines for the NFL FLAG Bowl. These guidelines will be based on CDC recommendations and federal/local guidelines.

We plan on releasing more information and these guidelines by November 16, 2020 to ensure all parties understand the expectations of the event.

The guidelines presented might be more comprehensive and stricter than what is accepted locally in Tampa. THE TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES WILL BE ENFORCED, PER THE NFL, REGARDLESS OF LOCAL GUIDELINES DURING THE TIME OF THE EVENT AND ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE.

The NFL and RCX reserve the right to remove any athletes, coaches, and spectators who do not comply with the guidelines.

There will be strict processes administered and enforced at the event in terms of entry and exit of facilities and event activities.

We will require teams to check-in and enter and exit the facility at certain times and ask that teams are prompt to limit large groups. We will provide as much advance notice as possible, but if a team misses their check-in time, the team will have to wait until we are able to accommodate them.

Teams will play their games in “pods” based on divisions, ranging from 8-16 teams. These team pods will play all of their games on the same fields and will not intermingle with other pods.

There will be a morning session and an afternoon session. Teams and spectators will only be allowed entry during their designated session and will be asked to leave immediately following. The facility will be cleared in-between sessions to allow for proper capacity limitations.

Once you leave the facility, you will not be allowed re-entry.

There will only be two spectators permitted per athlete at the facility.

Face masks will be required for all spectators, coaches, athletes, staff, and referees.

Temperature checks will be administered every day prior to entry for all spectators, coaches, athletes, staff, and referees.

All players should bring a personal water bottle with their name on it to use during the game. There will be no communal coolers with Gatorade or water at the fields

Spectators may not congregate behind player benches, and must abide by social distancing guidelines, maintaining 6 feet of distance from other spectators. There will not be bleacher seating, we recommend spectators bring their own chairs.

No tents will be allowed within the facility to discourage groups from gathering.

4. DIVISION TIMES - Many teams are run by dual coaches. To accommodate as many dual coaches as possible, we have created a division list which shows the times when certain divisions will be playing. This way, all coaches will know if there are any potential conflicts where they will need an additional coach to assist. In addition, it will allow families to plan their weekend accordingly.

5. HALF BIDS - For clarification, half paid bids that have been awarded, cannot be combined with other bids. Also, winning a half-paid bid does NOT automatically secure your spot in the tournament. All this means is that you have received a discount for 1/2 off of the tournament entry fee of $475. All teams no matter if they won a bid or not, will have the same opportunity to sign up once registration opens.

6. CHECK-IN - All teams will be required to check in on FRIDAY. We will not be accepting teams checking in on Saturday due to COVID protocols. A division check-in list will be provided shortly.

7. STAY TO PLAY - This event is a mandatory STAY TO PLAY event. Any team found not complying with these rules will be accessed a $600 fine which must be paid prior to playing. No exceptions will be made. Every player on your team must stay at one of our provided hotel links.
