Get ready for the Smokey Mountain Showdown, an all-girls flag football tournament bringing teams from across Tennessee and surrounding regions together for a weekend built around competition, development, and opportunity.

From the youngest athletes taking the field in 5v5 to high-school athletes competing in 7v7, the Smokey Mountain Showdown is designed to give every girl the opportunity to compete, develop, connect, and be seen.

🏈 DIVISIONS

5v5 — NFL FLAG Football Rules

  • 8U
  • 10U
  • 12U

7v7 — NFHS Rules

  • 14U / Frosh-Soph
  • 18U / Varsity
  • One rusher allowed

The 7v7 divisions will follow NFHS flag football rules with one rusher, creating a competitive format that allows athletes to showcase their football skills in a game environment.

🔥 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

DAY 1 — POOL PLAY

  • Every team receives 3 guaranteed games
  • Competitive pool-play format
  • Day 1 results determine knockout-round seeding

DAY 2 — KNOCKOUT ROUND

EVERY TEAM ADVANCES.

No team is eliminated after pool play. Every program gets the opportunity to return for Day 2 and compete through the knockout round.

Two days. Three guaranteed pool-play games. Every team gets a shot at a championship.

The Smokey Mountain Showdown will be headlined by Marcel Marquez, Director of 7v7 for Football University powered by Under Armour, including the UA Next pathway.

Marcel will be on-site throughout the event, making this more than just another tournament on the calendar.

High-school athletes — come ready to compete, perform, and showcase your game.

The opportunity to be evaluated by someone directly connected to the FBU / UA Next ecosystem adds another layer to the weekend for athletes looking to take their game to the next level.

📲 ZORTS ATHLETE ID — REQUIRED

Every player must have an active Zorts ID to participate.

Your Zorts ID is good for one full calendar year.

That means once an athlete creates their Zorts profile and obtains their ID, they can use that same ID for other participating tournaments throughout the year rather than registering for a new ID at every event.
