Tournament Overview

Pittsburgh NFL League proudly presents the Steel City Showdown Championship Series, a one-day youth flag football event bringing together the top boys and girls teams from across Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. Taking place Sunday, June 13, 2027, this tournament combines competitive pool play with an action-packed playoff and championship round, giving every team a shot at hardware. Whether you're a first-year program or a returning contender, get ready for a fast-paced, well-run day of flag football built for players, coaches, and families alike.

- Date: Sunday, June 13, 2027

- Location: 300 Collins Drive, Penn Hills Township, PA

- Sport: Youth Flag Football

- Format: 5v5, single-day event featuring pool play followed by playoff and championship rounds

Registration & Cost

- Early Bird Rate: $350 per team when paid in full by May 1, 2027

- Regular Rate: $400 per team for registrations completed after May 1, 2027

- Open to youth flag football teams and organizations throughout the Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvania region

- Team spots are not confirmed until registration and payment are fully processed through Zorts

Team & Player Requirements

- All teams must complete registration, payment, roster submission, and eligibility verification through Zorts

- Every player and coach listed must have active Zorts verification on file

- Complete and accurate rosters must be submitted through the official Zorts platform prior to the event

- Teams participate at the division level based on roster submissions; Pittsburgh NFL League reserves the right to combine or adjust divisions depending on overall registration numbers

Schedule & Event Day Information

- Final schedules, brackets, field assignments, and tournament rules will be released as the event date approaches

- Divisions will be announced once registration closes and team counts are finalized

- All teams should plan to arrive early for on-site check-in

Refund Policy

Registration fees directly cover field rental, officiating, staffing, equipment, and overall event operations. Because these costs are committed in advance, refunds are not guaranteed once a team has registered.
