Welcome to No LIMITIZ Flag Football Club, your premier destination for
exhilarating flag football action, skill development, and community building! Our
club offers a comprehensive program designed for players of all skill levels, from
beginners looking to learn the ropes to seasoned veterans seeking competitive
play. With weekly training sessions and thrilling monthly tournaments, you'll hone
your skills, build camaraderie, and experience the excitement of flag football
year-round.
Coaching Philosophy:
Our experienced coaches prioritize a positive and supportive learning
environment. We emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and continuous
improvement, ensuring every player feels valued and challenged.
Weekly Training Sessions
○ Sessions will be held at No LIMITZ field in Macclenny.
○ Our weekly training sessions are designed to progressively build individual
skills and team chemistry.
○ Typical Training Session Structure (2 Hours):
○ Warm-up & Dynamic Stretching (15 minutes):
○ Light jogging, high knees, butt kicks, arm circles, leg swings.
○ Focus on injury prevention and preparing muscles for activity.
○ Agility & Footwork Drills (30 minutes):
○ Cone drills (shuttle runs, zig-zags)
○ Ladder drills (quick feet, coordination)
○ Change of direction drills (plant and cut)
○ Flag pulling technique practice.
○ Offensive Skill Development (45 minutes):
○ Quarterback: Passing accuracy, throwing on the run, reading defenses.
○ Receivers: Route running (slant, curl, go, post), catching techniques,
creating separation.
○ Running Backs: Hand-off technique, open field moves (spin, juke), flag
protection.
○ Center: Snapping accuracy and consistency.
○ Individual and small-group drills focusing on specific positions.
○ Defensive Skill Development (30 minutes):
○ Man-to-man coverage, zone defense principles.
○ Pass rushing techniques (from 7 yards back).
○ Flag pulling drills with moving targets.
○ Communication and teamwork on defense.
○ Scrimmage & Game Situations (30 minutes):
○ Mini-games focusing on applying learned skills in a live setting.
○ Scenario-based drills (e.g., 2-minute drill, red zone offense).
○ Coaches provide real-time feedback and strategic guidance.
○ Cool-down & Static Stretching (10 minutes):
○ Light stretching to improve flexibility and aid muscle recovery.
○ Brief team huddle and positive reinforcement.
IV. Monthly Tournaments:
○ Our monthly tournaments provide a thrilling culmination of weekly training,
offering a competitive platform for members to showcase their skills and
compete for bragging rights.
○ Tournament Format:
○ Round Robin Pool Play: Each team will play a set number of games
within their age division.
○ Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3-4 games in pool play.
○ Seeding for playoffs will be based on win-loss record, followed by
head-to-head, points against, and points for.
○ Single-Elimination Playoffs: Top teams from each pool advance to a
knockout bracket.
○ Championship game for each division.
○ Officiating: All games will be officiated by trained and certified referees.
Tournament Day Schedule (Example)
○ 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Team Check-in & Warm-up
○ 8:30 AM - 8:45 AM: Captains' Meeting & Rules Review
○ 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Pool Play Games
○ 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Playoff Games (Quarterfinals, Semifinals)
○ 3:15 PM - 4:00 PM: Championship Games (All Divisions)
○ 4:15 PM - 4:45 PM: Awards Ceremony
