The 5th annual Wes Johnson Memorial football showcase is an event held annually in the heart of Texas. Wes Johnson passed away in a car accident in 2021, and I, Greg Johnson, Wes's brother, host this event every year to raise funds for Wes's children's financial needs, supporting my nieces and nephew. The Wes Johnson showcase features over 100 teams, offering top-tier competition, mid-level, and recreational football, and team admission to the EVENT IS FREE. Additionally, YNC committed broad will also be in attendance at the Wes Johnson Memorial Football Showcase. Teams from Vegas, Ohio, Arizona, Houston, San Antonio, North Carolina, and more will participate. It is essential to register as soon as possible.
Coaches, please note that check-in will take place on Friday, July 18, 3:30pm-8:00pm and teams will be assigned specific time slots. Each participant will receive a wristband, which must be worn throughout the weekend. If a wristband is lost or removed, a replacement fee of $10 will be charged. It is essential that all participants wear their wristbands, as they will be checked by field monitors before each game. Wristbands will be color-coded by age group (5u-13u) to ensure that players compete at their designated level. Coaches are reminded that any attempts to circumvent this rule will be addressed accordingly. Additionally, all participants must have a valid Zorts player card in the Zorts system to be eligible to participate in the Wes Memorial. Please ensure that all team members meet this requirement to avoid any issues. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Furthermore, please note that coaching bands will be available for purchase at a cost of $30 each for any additional coaches beyond the initial seven (including the team mom). Coaches are also reminded to inform parents that entry tickets will be available for purchase on Friday, July 18, at check-in. Tickets will cost $15 each for Saturday and Sunday, with no weekend passes available. Please note that entry bands for Saturday and Sunday can be purchased at check-in to avoid waiting in line. Finally, head coaches and team moms are responsible for ensuring that all players and coaches are registered in the Zorts system. Please do not attempt to submit paperwork at check-in, as only participants registered in the Zorts system will receive player or coaching bands. CLEAR BAG POLICY FOR EVERYONE‼️ And teams are responsible for their team water and no outside food or drinks for spectators, players or coaches. Teams are allowed to bring fruits and water only inside for their teams.
