Charm City Girls Flag Football League – Spring 2027

Charm City Girls Flag Football League is Baltimore County’s premier all-girls flag football league, created to provide female athletes with an organized, competitive, and developmental environment to learn, play, and grow within the sport of girls flag football.

The Spring 2027 season will run from April 17 through June 1 and will welcome players from elementary school through high school.

Individual players are encouraged to register, and established teams are also welcome to compete. Middle school and high school teams are strongly encouraged to enter the league.

All league games will be hosted at Garrison Forest School in Baltimore County, Maryland.

Players and teams will participate in two games per weekend throughout the season, providing athletes with consistent game experience and opportunities to develop throughout the spring.

League Divisions & Game Format

Charm City Girls Flag Football will use different game formats based on age and competitive level.

Elementary School Division — 5v5 Flag Football

Elementary school players will compete in a 5-on-5 format designed to introduce and develop the fundamentals of girls flag football.

The 5v5 format provides younger athletes with more opportunities to handle the football, develop positional skills, learn offensive and defensive concepts, and build confidence through game experience.

Middle School Division — 7v7 Flag Football

Middle school athletes will compete in a 7-on-7 format, providing players with an expanded team structure and a more advanced competitive environment.

High School Division — 7v7 Flag Football

High school athletes will also compete in a 7-on-7 format, giving players additional opportunities to develop their skills, gain competitive game experience, and prepare for future opportunities in girls flag football.

Individual Player Registration

Individual players do not need to have an established team to participate.

Players registering individually will be placed into the appropriate division based on their age and grade level and assigned to a league team.

This gives girls who are interested in playing flag football an opportunity to participate even if they do not currently play for a school, club, or established team.

Registered middle school and high school players will also have the opportunity to be entered into the national recruiting database sponsored by ScoutSmarter, providing athletes with an additional resource as they continue their development and explore future opportunities in girls flag football.

Individual Player Registration

Early Registration: $160

Regular Registration: $186

Early registration pricing is available through December 31.

Team Registration

Early Team Registration: $495

Regular Team Registration: $530

Early team registration pricing is available through December 31.

Registration Dates

Early Registration:
October 1 – December 31

Regular Registration:
January 4 – February 28

Registrations received after February 28 will be considered late registrations and will be accepted based on available roster and team space.

Late Registration Fees

Individual Players: Additional $80 Late Registration Fee

Teams: Additional $100 Late Registration Fee

Late registration does not guarantee placement. Individual player placement and team acceptance will depend on available space within the appropriate division.

Team Registration Requirements

Established teams are welcome to register and compete in the Charm City Girls Flag Football League.

Each registered team must have a minimum roster of 12 players.

The team's coach will be responsible for completing team registration and adding every participating player to the team's official league roster.

Only coaches are permitted to complete team registration and submit an official team roster.

All coaches must complete the required Charm City Girls Flag Football League certification requirements before participating in league activities.

League Officiating

League games will be officiated by trained and certified Charm City Girls Flag Football officials.

Officials will be trained to work specifically within girls flag football, with games conducted under applicable NFHS standards and league rules.

This structure is designed to provide athletes, coaches, and families with an organized and consistent game-day environment throughout the season.

More Than a Spring League

Charm City Girls Flag Football League is focused on creating a pathway for girls to participate in and continue developing within the sport.

For elementary school athletes, that means building fundamentals, confidence, football knowledge, and a love for the game through 5v5 competition.

For middle school and high school athletes, the league provides a more advanced 7v7 competitive environment designed to provide additional game experience, player development, and exposure to future opportunities within girls flag football.

Our goal is to create an environment where athletes can learn the game, compete, develop their skills, build relationships, and continue progressing within the sport.
