Welcome to the Z League 35+ Men's Basketball League hosted at American International College (AIC). This league is designed to provide competitive, organized, and enjoyable basketball for experienced players while maintaining a strong focus on sportsmanship, fairness, and community.

League Meetings
Every Friday at 9:00 PM via Zoom
Attendance is required for all team managers. League updates, standings, rule reminders, and league decisions will be discussed during these meetings.

SEASON FORMAT

• 6-week regular season
• One 48-minute game per team each week
• Weekly standings updates
• Top teams advance to playoffs
• Championship game will determine the league champion

LEAGUE MANAGEMENT

Schedules, standings, announcements, and league updates will be posted in the official league group chat. All players and team managers are responsible for staying informed by checking league communications regularly.

PLAYER ELIGIBILITY

The Z League operates as a 35+ Men's Basketball League.

• All players must be at least 35 years old
• Each team may roster a maximum of three (3) players between the ages of 35–39
• All remaining players must be 40 years of age or older
• Players may only participate on one team
• The league reserves the right to verify player eligibility at any time

Questions regarding eligibility should be directed to league administration. The league reserves the right to review unique eligibility situations on a case-by-case basis to ensure fairness and maintain the integrity of competition.

ELIGIBILITY VIOLATIONS

Use of ineligible players will result in:
• Game forfeiture
• Possible suspension
• Possible removal from the league for repeat violations

GAME FORMAT

• 48-minute games
• Games played every Wednesday
• Standard league basketball rules apply

REFEREE FEES

Due to lower-than-expected team participation, referee fees have been implemented to ensure quality officiating and league operations.

• Two referees assigned per game
• Each team pays $50 per game
• Total officiating cost per game: $100
• Fees must be paid before tip-off by team managers

• $10 admission per person
• Children under 12 are admitted free
• All spectators must follow AIC facility rules
• Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the facility

SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY

All participants are expected to demonstrate respect toward:
• Players
• Referees
• League staff
• Spectators

Violations may result in:
• Warnings
• Technical fouls
• Suspensions
• Removal from the league

FORFEIT POLICY

Games may be forfeited for:
• Insufficient eligible players
• Late arrival
• Use of ineligible players
• Refusal to comply with league rules

TEAM MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

• Submit team rosters
• Ensure player eligibility compliance
• Collect and submit referee fees
• Communicate league updates to players
• Attend weekly Friday Zoom meetings
