LEAGUE DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the Monroe City Academy League (MCAL) — the largest youth sports league in North Louisiana, where development, competition, and culture all come together.
MCAL is built for both Academy teams and Independent organizations, creating one unified platform for athletes across the region to compete, grow, and be seen. Our mission is simple: develop young athletes the right way—with an emphasis on safety, fundamentals, discipline, and competitive habits that translate beyond the game.
We offer structured league play with:
- Organized schedules & consistent competition
- Certified coaching standards and league structure
- A culture-driven environment focused on growth, accountability, and exposure
Football Information:
- Tackle teams within Academy programs have access to equipment rental options
- All players (flag & tackle) will be placed on rosters through their registered team
- Development-first approach for all ages and skill levels
