Welcome to the 9th Annual Steel City Showdown
The Steel City Showdown returns for its 9th annual tournament, standing as one of Pittsburgh’s most established and respected youth flag football events. Hosted in collaboration with NFL FLAG and the Pittsburgh Juneteenth Celebration, this tournament brings together elite teams from across the region and beyond for a high-level weekend of competition.
We offer the following divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14 coed and 10U Girls, 12U Girls, 14U Girls, and high school girls, all competing under official NFL FLAG rules in a fast-paced 5v5 format, with a maximum roster size of 12 players per team.
Championship teams will receive a special invitation to attend Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp in Latrobe, PA, providing a memorable experience at one of football’s most iconic settings. Championship rings will also be awarded to division winners.
As Pittsburgh’s longest-running youth football tournament, the Steel City Showdown is known for its competitive atmosphere, high production value, and connection to the city’s rich sports culture.
Team registration and check-in will take place on Friday, June 12th at Dave & Buster’s, followed by Media Day, setting the tone for an unforgettable weekend.
