🏀 Winter 5v5 Basketball League
Welcome to the South-City Classic winter 5v5 basketball league! This is an adult league open to both men and women, with teams of any makeup welcome. Whether you’re bringing a full squad or signing up on your own, there’s a spot for you.
League Format
- Season tips-off November 25th
- 1 game per team each week, 40 minutes per game
- Full Court Games
- 6-week regular season followed by 2 weeks of playoffs
- Games hosted on Wednesday nights at the Center of Clayton (Rec Center)
- Limited to 8 teams
- Game Times: 6:00, 7:00 & 8:00 PM
- Team Fee: $900 ($987 after tax - Zorts does not add it at check-out so the listed price includes tax)
Team Captains
Create your team during registration, then send the team-specific link to your players so they can join automatically. You’re the only one who needs to register through the main link. Spots are first come, first served, and your spot is only reserved once your team fee is paid, not just when the team is created. If a team pays but can’t be accepted, it will be fully refunded.
Free Agents (No Team? No Problem!)
Sign up as an individual and you’re guaranteed a spot on a team if you register before the season starts. We’ll either place you on an existing team looking for players or group free agents into their own team if enough sign up. We’ll ask about your preferred position and whether you’d like a more competitive or more for-fun team so we can find you a good fit.
Player Eligibility
Every player must complete the following before playing:
- Sign the athletic waiver
- Purchase a ZortsID ($15), a digital photo ID you’ll use to check in before each game. It confirms everyone is signed in and has a waiver on file, and it helps us keep accurate stats. Your ZortsID is valid for a full year across all of our leagues and sports.
The app will prompt you to fix your eligibility status when you sign in. If you have trouble finding where to sign the waiver or buy your ZortsID, just reach out!

- Beginner to Intermediate players welcome. If you are an advanced skill player, you are welcome to join, but please remember the intensity level will not be set to high competition.
