All Teams must report Saturday July 13th 2024. We will have a coaches meeting before any games begin. Your team does not have to be there but a representative should be there to get schedule and field with any updated information.  Games should start promptly.  Forfeits will occur if the team is not present.

Please note that during the tournament, if a field becomes available early we may ask the next two teams to play 10 -15 minutes ahead of time.  We do this to help compensate for any possible overtime games.  We are on a tight schedule and must make the most effective use of time.

Method of Play
1. Pregame coin flip determines team to start on offense.
2. Ball will always start on the offense’s 40-yard line (baseline) to start a possession. (This includes interceptions not returned for TDs)
3. Empty Formation is allowed. Wr must be outside tackle box.
4. Offense will be given 3 downs to make a first down (15 yard zones – ex. 40 yard line to 25 yard line).
5. Offenses may have only 5 Eligible, plus QB and Center (Center is optional).
6. The defense will use 7 defenders with 1 starting within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage within the tackle box.
7. The football must be thrown within 4 seconds. Officials use electronic countdown timers on the field and will not count out loud. A sack occurs when the quarterback doesn’t RELEASE the ball in time (if the timer goes off with the arm in motion, it’s a good throw) – play the next down from the previous line of scrimmage on sacks.
8. The ball is declared dead when the runner is tagged with one hand between the shoulders and the knees (including the hand and arm) or the ball or defenders knee/elbow touches the ground.
9. All touchdowns are 6 points.  You must go for 1 which is on the 5 yard line or 2 which is on the 10 yard line.
10. NEW RULE- DEFENSE SCORES 2 POINTS FOR TURN OVER OF DOWNS AND 3 POINTS FOR INTERCEPTION.
11. Ties will be played immediately by method of sudden death overtime only in play off situations. Each team is given 1 play with the team gaining the most yards winning. Interceptions constitute turn over on downs during sudden death.
12. Team with the most points at the expiration of time wins.
13. The OFFENSE (QB/Snapper) is responsible for spotting the football before each play (i.e. Left Hash, Middle, Right Hash).
14. DAWG RULE- INTERCEPTIONS ARE LIVE AND CAN BE RETURNED FOR 6 POINTS!!! NO BLOCKING IS ALLOWED!!! Extra Point Rules Apply After A Pick 6.

Rules of Play
1. Each game will be twenty minutes running clock.
2. Offense has 30 seconds to put the ball in play.
3. No Timeouts unless injury.
4. Mouthpieces are mandatory on the field of play.
5. 1 coach for offense is allowed on field.  No additional players are allowed on the field during play.
6.  YOU CANNOT RUN THE BALL (QB may not run the football).
7. No blocking or screen blocking what so ever. Blocking constitutes a loss of down penalty. Defense is responsible for avoiding contact.
8. The offense may pass the ball only once during a play. Double passes constitute an illegal forward pass.
