Description

We are running a high school 7 v 7 tournament this year. The Prairies Got Em! 7's Tournament will be held on July 9th and the cost is $200.00 per team. The 7’s Tourney is a 16 team varsity High School tournament. Each team will be guaranteed to play 5 games. Teams will play 3 pool play games for seeding. Followed by a double elimination tourney. Keep in mind, we will try to make sure every team gets an opportunity to play as many different teams as possible. The Tournament bracket will be double elimination, guaranteeing a minimum of 5 games per team for the whole tourney.

Timeline

· Pool play begins at 10 AM

· Each game will be 20 minutes long running clock

· games will start every 30 minutes

Scoring

6 points per TD
2 point conversion from 10-yard line
1 point conversion from 5- yard line
3 points per interception - Ball is dead on interception and change of possession
1 point per sack

Teams will have 4 seconds to throw. Anything over 4 is a sack, loss of down
Teams are encouraged to bring their centers to snap the football

Downs and Distance

Ball starts on the 40 yard line going in
3 down to get 10 yards (40 to 30)
3 downs to get 20 yards (30 to 10)
4 downs to score (10 to G)

Because of the tournament size, we will play games at Prairie High School and District Stadium. Some teams may have to move after pool play to the opposite location. We will provide plenty of time for teams to have lunch and travel time between pool play and the double elimination rounds. I will put all this information into an official document to teams who confirm, this way I don't continue to contact teams who are not interested. We would love to have as many teams as possible and look forward to a great tournament and competitive play.
