Remember being a young kid going to the mini golf course with your friends? One friend trying to hit the ball as hard as they could, without a care to where the ball would land, other, trying desperately to hit the ball between the gaps of the windmill, and lastly that one friend who took their sweet time and planned out their stroke in order to ensure mini golf victory. It is most likely that newest Alabama Men's Golf commit, Davis Shore was indeed that type of friend. This past fall, Shore, a native of Knoxville, Tennesse, signed his letter of intent to pursue his academic and athletic career at the University of Alabama. Golf is an incredibly underappreciated sport in the world of college athletics and Shore is one of the best golfers in his recruiting class. Ranked number 3 nationally in his class by Golfweek.com, Shore is a member of the boys United States Junior Ryder Cup team, as well as named American Family Insurance All-USA Boys Golf Team National Player of the Year in 2016. According to Davis Shores commitment release from rolltide.com, Head coach of Alabama Men's Golf, Jay Seawell stated "Davis is one the top players in all of junior golf, He has accomplished so much in golf. He has winning experience and also has experienced the highest honor in playing for his country. Davis is a driven and intelligent player that should step right in and be a great help for us in our pursuit of championships." Congrats to Davis and the University of Alabama!
