Lexi Harris, the Girl you Don't Want to Mess With.

The art of competitive powerlifting is one that we as a nation tend to forget about. Sure as athletes we train and will do the standard lifts in order to improve our bodies physically, but very few have the physical discipline to lift competitively. That being said, the great state of Texas just held its Women's High School Powerlifting Championships, and boy can these women lift. Throughout the competition, the various women were breaking PR's, dropping jaws, and setting the standard for male and female athletes everywhere. Yet, among these talented lifters, one woman stood out from the rest, and her name is Lexi Harris. Harris, who reigns from Cleburne, Texas, was beyond dominant at the powerlifting championship. Her combined lifting total of 1,520 pounds was nothing short of record breaking and has out her in the history books of women's power lifting. Harris's bench press was an impressive 435 pounds, while her squat total was a PR-shattering 600 pounds, her previous record being 500 pounds. Lastly, to top it all off, her  485-pound deadlift tied the Texas state record. Needless to say, Harris won every event a the meet. Harris surely did not fail to impress the world with her incredible weightlifting and more importantly, does not show any signs of slowing down. Another congratulation to Lexi as we wish her the best in her powerlifting career
