Where are They Now Wednesday's: Kurt Scoby

Often looked at as one of the most dominant running backs in the Southern California Region during his high school career, this running back blew up the defenses he ran against and was a nightmare for opposing D-Coordinators. His name is, in fact, Kurt Scoby, prior to playing football at Monrovia High School, Scoby tore up the Sierra League of Southern Section CIF football at Charter Oak High School. Upon transferring to Monrovia High School in the fall of 2013, (Monrovia, CA) Scoby had an extremely dominant senior season. He rushed for 2206 years while scoring 35 touchdowns, on only 164 carries, making his yards per carrying average 13.5yds. Scoby was the epitome of athletic dominance, he scored a touchdown in every single game his senior season as well as scoring two touchdowns on two carries during the second game of his senior year. At the End of his senior year, Scoby was named Pasadena Star News Newcomer of the Year as well as MVP of the Rio Hondo League. Garnering multiple college scholarship offers, Scoby committed to Fresno State University on October 16, 2013. After redshirting his freshman season, Scoby transferred to Azusa Pacific University where he planned to further his football career. He made an immediate impact his first year playing for the Cougars, rushing the ball for 1167 yards and 11 touchdowns, Scoby led Azusa in rushing and was named Freshman of the year in the GNAC as well as First Team All-GNAC. Looking to continue to dominate the world of football, Kurt Scoby has proven that his dominance did not stop at the High School level.
