Mighty Return for SoCal Lacrosse Coach

Throughout the past decade, the game of lacrosse has grown exponentially, and in one area in particular being Southern California. More high school, middle school, and even youth lacrosse programs are becoming more accessible for athletes across the Southern Section of California. On the subject of Southern California lacrosse, one lacrosse coach is making his return to the world of SoCal Lax, and his name is Jared Little. A former 2-time National Champion Midfielder at the University of Virginia ('03,'06) Little made the trek to Southern California in hopes of making a career for himself in the world of lacrosse. While starting as an assistant coach at prestigious Harvard Westlake (Studio City, CA) High School, in the fall of 2010 Little was offered the head coaching job at Chaminade College Preparatory (West Hills, CA). Coach Little hoped to rejuvenate the young lacrosse program by incorporating his own lifelong experiences from lacrosse into training sessions, practices and even life skills for his new players. Building club programs for players and helping spread the game of lacrosse across the San Fernando Valley, Little was making a name for himself, and despite a couple of rebuilding years, he had high hopes for the rising Chaminade Lacrosse program. Yet in the fall of 2012 Coach Little would announce his resignation from Chaminade Lacrosse to start a new life with his family in Bozeman, Montana as a Youth Pastor. Many never heard from Coach Little after his departure, and some wondered if he would ever pursue a career in lacrosse ever again. Well, in the fall of 2016, Jared Little announced his return to Southern California and got the head coaching job at St. Francis High School (La Cañada Flintridge, California). In early October, Little had already over 40 players registered for his Lacrosse program and was conducting 6:00 AM practices and tryouts for his new players. With a new talented group of young athletes, Little hopes to start a dominating legacy for St. Francis, and it just goes to show that no matter what sport you love to play, you will always find your way back to it. Good Luck to Coach Little and the Golden Knights!
